RHC Feasibility Studies

There are no two clinics alike and, for this reason, a careful analysis is required to assess the costs and benefits of Rural Health Clinic certification.  We can help determine if the Rural Health Clinic program would be beneficial to your clinic through an RHC Feasibility study.  There are a lot of qualifications that go into being certified as an RHC and our RHC feasibility study will assess the financial feasibility based on estimated (for new clinics) or actual (for existing clinics) data on payer mix – Medicare, Medicaid, other. For example, existing practices that do not have an NP, PA or CNM on staff must consider whether the cost of hiring one will be offset by increased revenue. We have helped hundreds of clinics across the country address these issues.  Patient mix is the key to determining the benefits and costs of the Rural Health Clinic program for your clinic.

With the RHC Feasibility Study We Will:

  • Review and analyze clinic visits performed by appropriate medical staff;
  • Assess status of HPSA, or MUA of clinic location;
  • Identify those services reimbursable under the rural health program;
  • Review and analyze the clinic financial statements and expenses;
  • Identify the appropriate costs used to calculate Rural Health Clinic encounter rate;
  • Prepare and submit report to Clinic outlining the financial impact of rural health clinic certification;
  • Provide telephone consultation with rural health clinic certification recommendations;
  • Complete rural health clinic certification within one week of receiving all of the requested information.
